Monica Alvarez
Monica has lived in Vancouver since 2003. Her love for the Pacific West Coast came from birth, since she was born in Lima, Peru.
Monica got her Bachelor of Science in Wood Products Processing from UBC in 2009, and worked in the lumber trading business since 2013. Her passion for creating and maintaining relationships, allows her to learn and understand the needs of the people she works with. She enjoys taking leadership roles in teams, to help bring success to the people around her.
She has always participated and volunteered in a variety of sports and activities from a young age, from basketball, volleyball, taekwondo, to being a zumba instructor, play music in bands and participate in dance groups. Currently she focuses in volunteering on her kids activities like being part of the school’s PEC, Chair in school committees, and being the team manager on her kid’s hockey team. She also Co-Chairs her favourite home team with her husband and kids.
